It all started with the Tardis. Doesn't everything?
Let me explain.
In order to illustrate my personal approach to making Wedding Stationery I once drew the TARDIS. Not for The Doctor however, I just knew that with the advent of the Quirky Wedding it was crucial to show that hobbies and interests could be incorporated into a Wedding with fun and originality. For years everyone laughed at the TARDIS and as an afterthought I popped it onto a place card and sent it down to Love Weddings in their marvellous 'permanent Wedding Show' shop in The Spires Mall where it has been a bit of a talking point apparently.
Then came the international event that is Star Wars: The Force Awakens. 'Could you do a Star Wars card for the New Year do you think, you know, like the Tardis one?' came the request from LOVE Weddings. Well, this awoke my 'barely have to scratch the surface' inner nerd and I knew I wouldn't be drawing the Millennium Falcon, oh no. Princess Leia and Han Solo it had to be. THAT dress, THAT hairstyle but something easy for me to colour in with my fairly splodgy 3D paints. It also got me thinking; Harry and Ginny, Sheldon and Amy etc etc and I'm sure you've got your own favourites out there; is Buzz Lightyear and Jessie pushing it a bit?
Maybe you have easily illustrated nicknames ... maybe you wear distinctive outfits for work, maybe you're a massive fan of something I've never heard of, it doesn't matter, I would love to make your wedding stationery fun, personal & unique with a simple drawing (and possibly even a bad pun if you like!).
